Designing the right system for your business

Standard commercial solar systems are available in a range of kilowatt (kW) ratings to indicate the system’s capacity for energy output, in conditions of unobstructed sunlight.

  • Suited to commercial sites with low to medium energy usage – with annual electricity costs of around $15,000. For example, small to medium businesses, government buildings such as childcare centres and community centres.
  • Suited to establishments that use less than 350 kWh per day.

Incentives

Small-Scale Generation Certificates are available for systems under 100 kW.

Solar panels

Solar panels are made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells. These cells use light energy from the sun to generate electricity. The cells are made up of mono or polycrystalline silicon or thin-film and are connected to each other electrically to a specific voltage and in parallel to get an amperage.

Warranties

25-year product warranty on all modules

25-year performance warranty on all modules

Suntech has a 20 year history of research and development of photovoltaic panels (PV). Now used in over 100 countries around the globe and known for their durability and quality. Excellent weak light performance, lower operating temperatures and a host of other innovative features.

Batteries

Battery storage provides the option to store excess energy generated by solar or off-peak energy to be used later.

Tesla Powerpacks are a state-of-the-art AC-connected energy storage system, designed to reduce energy costs by avoiding peak time energy prices. These modular units can scale to meet the requirements of any commercial site, regardless of power and energy requirements.

From smaller commercial businesses with energy needs up to 14kW, the Powerpacks are designed for efficiency and longevity and provide a simple turn-key solution.

  • Peak energy cost shaving.
  • Power load shifting.
  • Emergency power backup.
  • Demand response.

Racking systems

A solar mounting system, either rooftop or ground-mounted, is an integral feature of any solar installation, particularly for photovoltaic (PV) projects.

The SunLock Commercial Range provides a range of features and benefits to help maximise the energy yields from your roof space.  Coupled with a 25-year warranty, they allow for easy expansion into the future.

Commercial Racking features

  • Fast – Saves on installation times.
  • Compliant – Certified by Gamcorp Structural Consultants, a registered structural engineer.
  • Durable – SunLock is 6000 series aluminium (predominantly 6005-T5 UNO) which has a 25+ year service life under Australian conditions, even without anodising.
  • Adaptable – SunLocks allows for greater roof utilisation and yields as it can be installed in edge zones.

Warranty

Compliant with AS/NZS1170.2.2011 standards with a 25-year warranty.

Solar inverters

SolarEdge inverters combine sophisticated digital control technology with efficient power conversion architecture to achieve superior solar power harvesting and best-in-class reliability. SolarEdge DC optimised systems provide an additional level of monitoring and reporting capabilities for enhanced system performance. The SE30K inverter is ideal to be oversized up to 40kW without the need for Grid Protection.

  • Enhanced safety with SafeDC and Rapid Shutdown for superior electrical safety. Optional AC and DC surge protection is available for some models.
  • Increased yields with panel-level optimisation reducing the impact of soiling.
  • Instantaneous system performance at the tips of your fingers via app.
  • Module-level monitoring with remote performance analysis and asset management without site visits.
  • Battery storage, business automation and EV chargers are part of the product suite.

Warranties

  • Inverters are covered by 12-year warranty, which can be extended to 20 years.
  • Optimisers are covered by a 25-year warranty.

Installation

Installation process

As the final phase of your clean energy transition, EnergyAustralia’s Clean Energy Council Accredited Installation team will perform safety checks and measures at your site, ensuring your solar system solution has been correctly installed to the highest standard.

Once the panel installation, switchboard connections and all other tests are completed to ensure your system is functioning properly, it will be commissioned and connected to the grid.

Installation costs

All installation costs are inclusive of your business’s solar solutions design.

Installation duration

All installation timeframes are agreed prior to the installation of your business’s solar solutions design.

Echo Group Corporation Pty Ltd ABN 34 158 561 927, is part of the EnergyAustralia group and supplies and installs solar, battery and related products to customers.
