How does it work?
By joining the Business Power Response trial, you are agreeing to be contacted by EnergyAustralia to participate in an event. Participation in an event is always optional.
We’ll give you as much notice as possible when an event is coming up.
You’ll get an SMS when the event starts.
Choose to reduce or shift your business's electricity usage during the event.
We’ll confirm by SMS when it’s over.
If you qualify for a bill credit, we’ll apply it to your account within 20 business days of an event^.
How can my business reduce energy use during an event?
Each and every business is different in how they use electricity, but here are some ideas to get you started.
Turn heating or cooling systems off or adjust the temperature settings.
Use backup generation to run your appliances to reduce using electricity from the grid.
Switch or cycle off machinery such as compressors, ovens and pumps where it is safe to do so.
Delay or shift machinery use to a time outside of when an event is running.
