The Pine Dale open cut coal mine in central NSW is currently under care and maintenance. The mine previously produced up to 350,000 tonnes of black coal each year for EnergyAustralia’s Mt Piper power station.
Mining at Pine Dale was most recently undertaken in an area referred to as the Yarraboldy (Stage 1) Extension. Mineable resources within this area have now been exhausted and the mine is under care and maintenance until such time as Development Consent is obtained to continue mining operations.
Located approximately 17km north-west of Lithgow in central New South Wales, Pine Dale previously produced up to 350,000 tonnes of black coal each year for EnergyAustralia’s Mt Piper power station.
