The Consumer Data Right (CDR) allows consumers and businesses to choose to share their data securely with third parties, this includes data held by electricity retailers. This will empower people to more easily share their energy data to get better deals and more tailored offerings for energy products and services. The CDR framework for safe and secure data sharing was designed and is overseen by the Australian Government. Consumers and businesses will need to consent and authorise their data to be shared by their energy retailer and only accredited parties will be able to receive data. The data sharing arrangement may be amended or withdrawn at any time by the consumer or business.
IMPORTANT: We’ll never ask you to share your EnergyAustralia login details, password or verification code with a third party, to share your data
For any data sharing arrangements already set up with EnergyAustralia, you can view the relevant details using our CDR Customer Dashboard to authenticate and access the EnergyAustralia CDR Customer Dashboard.
