Ballarat Energy Storage is 30MW / 30MWh Ballarat Energy Storage System located at the AusNet Services Ballarat Terminal Station near Ballarat in central Victoria. It can power more than 20,000 homes for an hour of peak demand before being recharged.
EnergyAustralia holds the rights to charge and dispatch energy from the battery via a first-of-its-kind storage services agreement with AusNet Services. It is owned by AusNet Services and has been operating since 2018.
Boco Rock Wind Farm is situated near Nimmitabel in New South Wales. It consists of 67 turbines generating up to 113MW of renewable energy, which is enough energy to power about 50,000 homes per year. It is owned by EGCO and has been operating since 2015. Stage two is currently under construction.
Bodangora Wind Farm is situated near Dubbo in New South Wales. It consists of 33 turbines generating up to 113MW of renewable energy, which is enough energy to power about 49,000 homes per year. It is owned and operated by Iberdrola Australia and has been operating since 2019.
Coleambally Solar Farm is situated in Coleambally in New South Wales. It consists of 567,828 solar panels generating up to 380,000Mwh of renewable energy, which is enough energy to power about 103,000 homes per year. It is owned by Neoen, operated by Bouygues-Construction and has been operating since 2018.
Gannawarra Energy Storage System is a 25MW / 50MWh Tesla Powerpack battery system integrated with the 50MW Gannawarra solar farm, located near Kerang in north-west Victoria. It can power about 16,000 homes for two hours of peak demand before being recharged. EnergyAustralia holds the rights to charge and dispatch energy from the battery via a first-of-a-kind storage services agreement with Edify Energy. It is owned by Wirsol and Edify Energy and has been operating since 2018.
Gullen Range Wind Farm is situated near Bannister in New South Wales. It consists of 73 turbines generating up to 165.5MW of renewable energy, which is enough energy to power about 70,000 homes per year. It is owned by BJCE Australia and has been fully operational since 2014.
Manildra Solar Farm is situated in Manildra (near Orange) in New South Wales. It consists of 466,000 solar panels generating up to 48.5MW of renewable energy, which is enough energy to power about 14,0000 homes per year. It is owned by New Energy Solar and has been operating since 2018.
Mortons Lane Wind Farm is situated near Hamilton in Victoria. It consists of 1500 turbines generating up to 19.5MW of renewable energy, which is enough energy to power about 13,000 homes per year. It is owned by Prime Super and has been operating since 2012.
Under a 10-year off-take agreement with Edify Energy, EnergyAustralia has market control for a contracted output of a combined 90MW/180MWh for the Riverina and Darlington Point batteries in New South Wales. The system has a two-hour duration providing enough energy for around 49,000 homes. It commenced operation in 2023.
Ross River Solar Farm is situated near Townsville in Queensland. It consists of 413,280 solar panels generating up to 116MW of renewable energy, which is enough energy to power about 54,000 homes per year. It is owned by Palisade and has been operating since 2021.
Taralga Wind Farm is situated near Taralga in New South Wales. It consists of 51 turbines generating up to 107MW of renewable energy, which is enough energy to power about 38,000 homes per year. It is owned by Pacific Hydro and has been operating since 2014.
Waterloo Wind Farm is situated near Clare in South Australia. It consists of 43 turbines generating up to 131MW of renewable energy, which is enough energy to power about 59,000 homes per year. It is owned by Palisade Investment Partners and Northleaf Capital and has been operating since 2010.
