EnergyAustralia and Edify Energy power up NSW with two battery projects to secure a renewable energy future
EnergyAustralia has again partnered with Edify Energy (Edify), a leading developer in renewable energy generation and storage projects, on two new battery storage projects to help safeguard reliable electricity supply for customers in New South Wales.
On 30 March at around 6:30am, there was a fire in the Stage 2 (generating units 3 & 4) station coal bunker area at Yallourn power station in the Latrobe Valley. Importantly, everyone is safe.
EnergyAustralia, one of Australia’s leading energy retailers, today said it emitted 18.7 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2-e) from the direct generation of electricity for the 12 months ended 30 June 2021. The company’s combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions was 18.9 million tonnes.
