EnergyAustralia is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We hope to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so aim to adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

Web Accessibility Initiative

We aim to conform with level A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)1  Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). This website will be upgraded to Double A compliance over time. In some cases, content will be accessible to Level Triple A.
 
The WCAG guidelines2  explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. EnergyAustralia will endeavour to conform with these guidelines to make this site more user friendly for all people.
 
To comply with the Guidelines we contracted Vision Australia3  to perform an accessibility audit. We are continually working to manage, improve and maintain our level of compliance.
 

Colour palette and images

Using our best endeavours, this site will provide descriptions of colours to assist visitors who have colour blindness or low vision. We will also endeavour to provide alt text descriptions for images.
 

Language and text

Content on this site has been written in plain speaking English. The text size can be increased by using your web browser’s Text Zoom feature (usually found in the Page or View menu).
 

Web browsers

The site displays correctly in the most popular web browsers used to access our site. If you view our site on an older browser, you may find pages don't display as intended if the browser isn't standards compliant.
