EnergyAustralia investigates grid-scale 500MW battery project at Mt Piper in New South Wales
EnergyAustralia today announced it is investigating the feasibility of a grid-scale battery of up to 500MW at its Mount Piper power station near Lithgow, which could power more than 200,000 homes for up to four hours during times of high demand.
EnergyAustralia today released its annual Energy Charter Disclosure outlining improvements in serving and supporting its 1.6 million customers during 2021-22 and initiatives underway to lead and accelerate the clean energy transition.

Grants of up to $10,000 each are now available through EnergyAustralia’s Community Grants program, which supports community initiatives within Geelong and the Western District that focus on improving education and social inclusion.
